Valencia is hot. Like habanero hot sauce hot! It’s making me uncomfortable and at the end of every day I smell like a sweaty boy.
At around 5pm we thought it might be safe enough to leave the comfort of air conditioning and jump on a train to see the sites. WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! It was still 41 degrees! There is no escaping it.
In order to save a few bucks I took it upon myself to be the tour guide. For someone who has no sense of direction, I’m sure my group (Lachie) would agree that I make a fantastic guide.
Torres de Serranos - The Gothic city gates.
More yellow!
The fountain - Plaza del la Virgen.
The water court
is actually an event rather than a place but it is held in the plaza del la Virgen. A group of judges meet once a week in full view of the public to solve all water irrigation problems. Except there aren't that many problems so the meetings don't take that long. There has been a meeting there every Thursday at noon for 100 years.
There is a lot of great street art!
"It's all in your mind"
I had my first Paella in Valencia and I am very sad. It was the blandest piece of poo I have ever eaten. The whole meal was a disappointment. Sob.
This is Lachie's Paella.
This is what Google says a Paella should look like.
These little babies are my favourite part of every meal.
Olive oil and Vinegar to dip my bread in. Mmm
I just love vinegar!
