Letter #9 New York City!

I was expecting intense security at the airport but there was none. At the bag checking point I handed my customs form over and asked which line to get in. He replied, "none just go straight to the exit," so i did and out I was.

We dumped our bags and I took my first subway ride in NYC. I couldn't breathe from the heat (the a/c was broken). When we finally came up for air in Times Square the first thing I saw was the biggest, brightest, most sparkliest pair of golden arches! Maccas!!

First Impression: New York is so big, I feel so tiny.

I went on the Gossip Girl tour this morning. I was very excited. I got up washed, dried and straightened my hair especially. Rallying Lachie to hurry up and get ready. I have no sense of direction so I needed him to drop me off. He told me to calm down and that "we are already leaving an hour early for something that is 10 minutes away." more like 40 minutes! I just made it. The start was between 50th and 51st on Maddison avenue outside the Madison hotel! Also known as the Vanderwoodson's home. The tour was awesome, very informative. We saw where everyone lived, their favourite restaurants, hangouts, where Lily and Bart got married, where Nate punched Chuck in the face in season 1, where Chuck finally told Blair that he loves her and so on and so on!

This is where Dan and Serena used to make out.

This is where Jenny tips yogurt on Blairs hair as she enters Constance Billard School for schools.

Others may know it as the museum of NYC, but whatever.

The lunch steps.

Lonely girl, caught eating lunch on the steps with no one in sight.

Also know as the steps to the Met.

This is where Vanessa bought gummy bears to give to Nate for their 2 month anniversary.

Dylan Lauren, daughter of Ralph Lauren is the founder and CEO of Dylan's Candy Bar.
Dylan's Candy Bar carries over 5,000 types of candy, it's a sweet tooth's paradise.

They sell cupcakes too! They look yum because they are, but I couldn't eat the whole thing.

And of course the tour wouldn't be complete without purchasing a headband from Henri Bendel. There is a whole room dedicated to headbands. Expensive headbands that only Blair Waldorf could afford. Luckily the one I liked was 50% off and I had a 20% off voucher. It was meant to be.

We stopped by Dan's favourite bakery to have some icing shots. I didnt realise the bakey was suger free. This doesn't really make me go "oh awesome give me one of those cupcakes". I like sugar.

After the tour I met Lachie in Union Square and we walked, ate, drank lemonade, walked, gawked and shopped.

Yumm!

My Favourite shop today was called So Good Jewelry
and it was sooooo good!

My Jaw was dropped the entire time I was in this shop. It is as though Diva has an older more sophisticated sister. Or maybe even a child, no twins!

The walls are lined with hundreds of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. There are tables of rings to choose from and the best part is the price. I'm going back and I'm bringing reinforcements.

This is me wearing my new headband and eating my new Favourite candy, I think they are called sugar rocks. It's basically just sugar gone hard, with a hint of fairy floss for flavour but it looks pretty and I like sugar.

My second favourite candy is lego candy! You can actually connect the pieces too!

Candy! Candy! Candy!
